Bev Robertson, Oil Paint Artist on Vancouver Island

Bev Robertson, artist

Hi, my name is Bev Robertson.

I am an Oil and Acrylic artist. I have been painting professionally since 2012.

Painting, for me, is a way to capture the beauty of nature. I love to paint many subjects, but I‘ve found painting flowers is my true love.

I find inspiration in the colours and textures, such as the ruffles of a peony, the veining in a rose petal or how the petals of a dahlia cup each other and increase in size as they spiral out from the center. For me, there is a magic in capturing the light that glows on a flower or shines on the glass jar that holds them.

Come explore my page and share in the magic.

“Painting is what I love to do, it feeds my soul. Being able to paint on a regular basis gives me the opportunity to explore and discover the artist that has been waiting inside of me all these years. As I finish one painting, there is always another painting in my mind, just waiting to be created. Finding the light in the painting that make it come alive. My goal is to evoke a special memory or feelings, from the viewer, so they feel they have seen that before.”
